How Commissions Work

You earn 30% of Net Revenue that e8e.dev collects from clients you introduced.

There is no salary, no retainer, and no minimum guarantee. Commission is the only form of compensation.

What Net Revenue means

Net Revenue is what e8e.dev actually receives after deducting taxes, refunds, chargebacks, payment processor fees, and similar adjustments. Commission is calculated on this amount — not on the quoted or invoiced value.

When commission is payable

Commission is not triggered by identifying a lead, scheduling a call, or getting a contract signed. It is triggered by payment.

The sequence is:

Lead introduced → Client signs → Client pays → You invoice us → We pay you

All five steps must happen. Commission is paid within 15 business days of us receiving a valid invoice from you, provided the client payment has cleared.

Milestone and partial payments

If a client pays in stages, commission follows each payment as it arrives. You do not wait for the full project to be paid — and you also do not receive commission before each stage clears.

Ongoing revenue from the same client

Commission applies not just to the first project, but to additional revenue from the same introduced client — renewals, new scopes, additional work — collected within 12 months of that client’s first paid invoice. The specific terms are in your Agreement.

What reduces or cancels commission

If a client payment is refunded or reversed, commission on that payment is clawed back. If a lead is found to already be in our pipeline, it does not qualify. If a lead did not originate with you in a meaningful way, it does not qualify. The Agreement governs all of this in detail.

Invoicing

Before we can pay, you must submit a valid invoice. It should include your name, invoice number, date, payment details, and the amount. We will let you know if anything specific is required based on your location.

Currency

Indian contractors are paid in INR. International contractors are paid in USD or another agreed currency.
